The Captec team have more than 100 years combined experience from the oil and gas industry. They have encountered many of the challenges that the current state of oil- and gas technology faces.

Their resolve in advancing oil and gas technology resulted in the RoboRig™ being created, and since 2014 three companies were born:

Robotized Drilling- and Workover Rig

Rigtec aims to simplify and modernize operations across land rigs, jack-ups and semisubmersibles using RoboRig™: the robotized workover and drilling rig.

Challenge

Traditional drilling and workover rigs are massive, costly, and environmentally taxing. Typical setups weigh up to 2,500 tons, require time consuming equipment change, and place significant strain on wellheads.

Our Solution

RoboRig™ offers a smarter, lighter, and more efficient alternative. With a modular design and substantially reduced weight, RoboRig™ outperforms conventional rigs. Its robotic automation enables parallel handling operations, and time reduction between drilling and running casing.

Subsea well intervention faces major barriers including wellhead fatigue, low operational limit and high operational cost.

Our Solution

Rigtec Wellservice uses the riserless system of RoboRig™ which applies zero added wellhead fatigue, unlocking deferred production from unproductive wells, unaccessible with current technology.
